Another test of the Bagrun list, this time against the Engu. Would they prove more resilient than the more fragile Delgon?

    The Bagrun list we’re now familiar with.

    All these models are Powerful, meaning any frenu they hit won’t get a save.

    After deployment the Engu immediately approach the Kedashi. Cren Blaak makes sure to Inspire his group.

    The first volleys of frenus are devastating: with 4 Engu dead that’s nearly half of the face gone before it even makes contact.

    At last the Engu engage the enemy. The Harpoons try to hit the Boss, but the forest protects him.

    Two more Engu Axes are down. It is not looking good for the Engu.

    The Boss engages the Kapa…

    …but is promptly dispatched.

    The Queens feel obligated to intervene.

    More and more frenu are being killed.

    That’s 11 dead frenu, which isn’t good news for the Queens.

    After a valiant fight, Cren is felled.

    And now it’s up to the Kapa and the remaining Harpoon.

    The Queens disengage, aiming to avoid combat while sending the remaining frenu against the Engu.
  • Final combat

    It is the moment of truth.
  • Endgame

    One Queen goes, but so does the Kapa. A bitter victory to the Kedashi.
Some thoughts on the game and the rules
  • Once again the path to victory was to force the queen to use up the frenu, as well as killing as many of them as possible. It did not work out in the end for the Engu, but was another close game.
