Sprigg

The Sprigg is a distant relative to the Seldoath, the difference is the Sprigg is leaner and has a calmer temperament. Standing on their hind legs, growing a mane on their head that trails along their back, they also grow fur on their chests. They spend their time climbing trees, using their long claws and sharp tail tip to forage for fruit and edible foliage, grabbing and cutting into them with ease. They can also use these as self-defence when they feel threatened, swiping their claws and thrashing their tail. They have beaked mouths with teeth inside to cut and grind down foods, especially useful for the tougher foliage and tough-skinned fruits. Spriggs can be tamed and trained from a young age to act as foragers, cutting down harvests from the trees to be collected. Training one for combat is more of a task as they act on their own unpredictable self-defence rather than aggression but given enough time and loyalty they will be better suited to defend those when needed.
